Main objectives are:
• to promote better information between European institutes sharing similar research programmes on environmental science and technology • to be a leading actor in the European Framework Programmes • to develop common R&D projects, and to implement exchange of scientists. • to develop collaborations with New Member States and Southern Europe research organisations
ENERO has set itself two priority objectives:
• To help institutes sharing the same objectives to develop a permanent cooperation • To draw up proposals on topics of interest to public and industry
The members of ENERO achieve these objectives by:
• Exchanging information about their activities , • Coordinating programmes and developing common projects, • Exchanges of personnel.

Last Update:
As a result of an internal audit worked out in 2004-2005, it was decided to revitalise scientific meetings at the level of research teams, to reinforce collaborations in joint national or European programmes, and to add momentum to exchange of personal. This new web site designed to achieve a high level of interactivity between teams is one of the first result.
A new yearly cycle of scientific workshops is launched in 2006, with a view to make research teams meeting more frequently together and with the European Commission, to stimulate common research and to install dedicated working groups.
